MINOT N.D.— Five local FFA students recently received John Deere Dealer Scholarships.
The $2,000 scholarships were awarded to Nathan Ball (Minot), Alex Abrahamson (Rolla), Michael Schmidt (Beulah), Harley Eckert (Powers Lake) and Sean Nichols (Carrington). The winners were selected by the National FFA Organization, and the funds are sponsored by John Deere and Gooseneck Implement.
Kevin Borud, COO of Gooseneck Implement, said FFA has been a critical partner of Gooseneck Implement for decades.
“Along with myself, Gooseneck Implement is very proud to be a supporter of the FFA scholarship program,” said Borud. “I participated in FFA in Kenmare, ND. You meet a lot of good people and create a good work ethic. Long term, it helped me to create a great culture for our company.”
