Independently perform in-field equipment diagnostics and repairs by operating a mobile service vehicle and traveling to customer locations in assigned territory. Candidates require a strong work ethic to complete a task efficiently with minimal supervision. Individual will serve as an in-field representative for the dealership to provide service solutions. Communication skills required to clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous and effective manner.
Plays a pivotal role in driving sales revenue, both within and outside our Area of Responsibility (AOR), through proactive market analysis, digital marketing initiatives, and strategic pricing. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing marketing strategies, and managing the entire lifecycle of used equipment within the
Manages service operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment by optimizing Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Grows profitable service labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.
Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.
Promotes delivery of value to assigned customer base, primarily parts and service yet total business value is within scope of position while understanding the customer base better than any other competitor.
Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians.

Gooseneck started in 1974 in Kenmare, ND. Kevin Borud bought the dealership from his father in 1989 and Kevin is still with the company today. In 1998, Borud bought Ward County Implement in Minot. In 2004, Gooseneck expanded to Mohall, Lansford and Stanley. Velva, Harvey and Rugby joined the Gooseneck team in 2008. In 2010, Gooseneck expanded to Williston, ND and merged the Lansford store into the newly built Mohall store. In 2018, Gooseneck made its largest expansion with the acquisition of Dakota Farm Equipment, a 5-location John Deere dealership in southwestern North Dakota and northwestern South Dakota.
Although the Kenmare store is the origin of Gooseneck Implement, each store stands alone with its own manager. Now, with 13 locations, CEO Jamie Melgaard, along with a board of directors, make decisions for the company, often after consulting with the staff.
